Clarke Central High School Class of 2009 alumna Cassie Chantel takes part in an alumni interview outside of CCHS’ Ceremonial Entrance on July 23. Chantel joined the ODYSSEY Media Group at the urging of former CCHS principal Dr. Maxine P. Easom, an academic placement that laid groundwork for Chantel’s future career in media. “When I think about my work with the ODYSSEY, I learned a lot of the fundamentals when it comes to journalism as far as how to interview people (and) how to take photos,” Chantel said. “Those small things that are the baseline of being a journalist with the ODYSSEY are still the baseline of being a journalist.” Video by Mzée Pavlić
