The two-hour and 52-minute R-rated film, an adaptation of the ancient Greek epic of the same name, follows Odysseus (Matt Damon) as he sails home from the Trojan War to his homeland of Ithaca, Greece, where his wife Penelope (Anne Hathaway) and son Telemachus (Tom Holland) anticipate his return.
