Clarke Central High School Senior Class President Laila Bolton and senior Ian Gantt were crowned CCHS’ 2025 Homecoming Royalty on Sept. 19 in Billy Henderson Stadium. Bolton highlighted the support she felt from her peers. “When I heard my name, I honestly couldn’t believe it at first. I was shocked and so happy,” Bolton said. “It was such a surreal moment, everything paused for a second and I just thought about how much love I felt from my friends, classmates and (the) school community.” Photos by Iliana Tejada

The CCHS varsity football team had its Homecoming football game against Jackson County High School on Sept. 19 in Billy Henderson Stadium.

Iliana Tejada is a senior at Clarke Central High School, in Athens Ga. and serves as the Photography Editor for the ODYSSEY Media Group. Through her photography, Iliana hopes to tell stories, and to gain more confidence in her writing. Iliana has attended conferences with the Georgia Scholastic Press Association and the Southern Interscholastic Press Association. She has been awarded for her photography by both GSPA and SIPA. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and traveling.
