A photo gallery depicting iliad Literary-Art Magazine Editor-in-Chief Margo McDaniels three-year career is show. Over the course of the past three years, McDaniel has emerged as a leader. “After working as Writing Director for two years, I had the opportunity to become the iliad’s Editor-in-Chief for my senior year. This role has challenged me in so many ways, and helped me become more disciplined and a more compassionate leader,” McDaniel wrote. Photos from the ODYSSEY archives
Changing through challenges
iliad Literary-Art Magazine Editor-in-Chief Margo McDaniel, a senior, reflects on how her time in the ODYSSEY Media Group has impacted her.
My time in the ODYSSEY Media Group has had a profound impact on me that I will carry with me throughout my life. Not only has this time made me a better writer, designer and editor, but also a better leader, friend and person.
I started in this program as a sophomore as Writing Director for the iliad Literary-Art Magazine. I was shy and introverted before joining the iliad, but putting myself in many public speaking and social situations helped me grow significantly. Today, I enjoy meeting new people and speaking in front of a crowd.
The best part about this program is the privilege I have had to work with so many extraordinarily talented people. Everyone in this program is so creative and unique, and they have taught me so much and made this experience so special.

While this chapter may be coming to an end, I am forever changed and will always remember what this program did for me.
