Despite losing star players and playing a rigorous schedule to a winless record, CCHS won’t let a winless season define the outlook of the boys varsity basketball program.

The CCHS boys varsity basketball team is preparing for the 2024-25 season with their first game of the season on Nov. 12.

On May 21, former Clarke Central High School physical education teacher and Billy J. Wade was recognized at the CCHS retirement luncheon commemorating his retirement following the 2017-18 school year, after 32 years serving as a CCHS teacher and 25 years serving as a CCHS varsity boys basketball coach.

Coach Stefan Smith and Coach Omar Reid may not share the same last name, but they are brothers. Before they came to teach at Clarke Central High School, both men remember playing basketball under Coach Billy Wade.
