Coach Omar Reid (left) and Coach Stefan Smith (right) were players for boys varsity head coach Billy Wade. Smith, who graduated from CCHS in 1991, played for Wade during his junior and senior year. Reid, who graduated in 2003, played under Wade all four years of high school.
The Dec. 2008 ODYSSEY Newsmagazine featured a story on the impact of then boys head basketball coach Billy Wade on his past players, such as Stefan Smith and Omar Reid, both of whom went on to coach alongside Wade, who retired this week after 32 years on staff at Clarke Central High School.
