Tom Clancy is back and better than ever before.
Splinter Cell fans rejoice,as the series returns better than ever in the newest installment known as Blacklist. The stealth game began with Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell in 2002 and has come back to offer fans a new sense of the game.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist brings back the third person perspective so users can witness their own takedowns whether they use the tactical knockout or the lethal takedown.
In the single player campaign, players play as special operations agent Sam Fisher, a modern day assassin who is trained in the art of stealth and knows just what to do about terrorists.
Fisher is the leader of the Fourth Echelon, a secret group in the United States and a trained killer who is not to be messed with. Players can also play the campaign in cooperative mode and relive every moment from the campaign.
Playing as Sam, you learn about his life of dealing with “The Engineers”, a terrorist group who wants the United States to withdraw their troops from their country and have promised that there will be severe consequences to pay for every week the United States does not bring the troops home.
It is up to Sam Fisher to find the secrets of the group and to prevent future attacks, this campaign promises to deliver a suspenseful story that will make everyone want to participate.
The multiplayer mode known as Spies vs. Mercs, first introduced in Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and has made its return to once again restore its former glory.The addicting mode will have players raging and playing for hours on end.
Players may become frustrated at times because it feels like other players have more efficient weapons and extra equipment can only be purchased with points earned during gameplay, though the points are easy to gain, it sometimes seems impossible to reach the goal amount of points to buy upgrades.
The graphics are beautiful,compared to earlier installments, Blacklist also has more explorable maps, and the new game has added a new kinect feature for xbox 360 this feature for the xbox allows players to talk and whistle through the kinect to lure in enemies.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist has lived up to its hype. The single player campaign is great with its combat mechanics and fast paced action and will promise hours of enjoyment and some frustration, with its many puzzling missions and its amazing cutscenes that make the user feel as if they are in the Fourth Echelon.
It has dynamic cinematics and fantastic gameplay. It is filled with a lot of surprises and will have players begging to find out what happens next. This will make every fan of the franchise happy and is definitely worth $60.
