The Clarke Central High School boys and girls varsity soccer teams plays against Oconee County High School on Feb. 24 in Billy Henderson Stadium. After finishing regulation time with a 4-4 tie, the game moved into a penalty kick shootout, in which CCHS boys varsity right back Yamil Garcia-Rangel clinched the 8-7 win with the final goal. “I’m proud of the way that (we) fought back after allowing (OCHS) to tie us, and then we were able to overcome penalty kicks to get a win versus a very good team,” CCHS varsity boys soccer head coach Dr. Chris Aiken said. “We were able to be calm and relaxed and get the win.” Photos by Cooper Jones
