On Aug. 24, Chick-fil-A released its Chicken Waffle Sandwich and S’mores milkshake, offering customers a new option to try that’s unique to Chick-fil-A’s normal menu.
The waffle sandwich includes two waffles, acting as the buns, three strips of applewood bacon and a Chick-fil-A chicken fillet. The S’mores milkshake includes toasted marshmallow whipping, chocolate shortbread, graham cracker crumbs and a classic maraschino cherry to top it off.
Priced at $7.89, the sandwich itself is put together well, although the flavor was not as expected. Meanwhile, the milkshake is priced at 5.29, a fair price considering it is very filling.

For the sandwich, customers can choose between the original fillet, the spicy fillet for $8.29, or a grilled fillet for a grand total of $8.69. The milkshake can include chocolate syrup or cookie crumbs for an extra 40¢, although they cannot be applied to one drink.
The waffle appears crunchy, but introduces a soft texture at first bite, pairing well with the slight crunch of bacon and the tenderness of the fillet. The actual taste of the sandwich is good, but not as expected. However, this can be compensated for by the side of maple syrup that comes with the sandwich.

The accompanying milkshake was sweet and heightened the taste of S’mores perfectly. The consistency of flavor, along with the crunch from the chocolate shortbread and graham cracker crumbs, was harmonious. However, it has 100 grams of sugar, which may turn away some customers.
Overall, the Chicken and Waffles Sandwich tasted good but not as expected, although it is still worth trying. On the other hand, the S’mores milkshake was extremely pleasing, with all elements of the milkshake tying together nicely.
