A multimedia package shows twelve of the ODYSSEY Media Group’s past stories celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. LGBTQ+ History Month takes place in October and for Diversity and Representation Editor Peter Atchley, it is a chance to honor a community that isn’t always represented. “(As a journalist I see) that oftentimes the big news sources, they don’t cover real queer stories the way that I feel they should,” Atchley said. “It bothers me when there’s real stories happening year round that get covered marginally less.
