I only had Dr. (Robert) Lawrence for one year as my piano teacher and I can never be grateful enough for him. He did more than teaching music and memorizing boring notes because he inspired us to think. One day in class he asked us for the definition of music. When even the brightest student couldn’t answer this question, he said that music is much more than mere sounds because it makes you feel. I am one of the so many hearts he touched. We’ve had our moments and I want to say thank you for everything he did.
