The war of words between Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump is irresponsible and dangerous, and could have catastrophic consequences.
Y’all. It’s the end of the world as I know it and quite honestly, I am not fine. I am shaking.
According to NBC, on Monday, Sept. 27, North Korean foreign minister Ri Yong Ho declared that President Trump’s recent tweet was a declaration of war, and threatened that US bombers may be attacked above North Korea.
“Just heard Foreign Minister of North Korea speak at U.N. If he echoes thoughts of Little Rocket Man, they won’t be around much longer!” Trump tweeted.
When President Trump writes things like this, it reveals some of his psyche. Trump is used to getting his way like this, by threatening and gambling with his opponents. This may work in the business industry. It does not work against rogue nations like North Korea.

As a leader, one has to realize that you cannot threaten North Korea into submission. I believe that North Korea is seeking recognition as a powerful nation, they believe that the path to longevity as a nation can only be achieved through absolute military power.
Under the current administration, the US has a similar worldview. When it comes to nations such as Iraq, Afghanistan and North Korea we see that the quickest route to peace is a military option.
The issue is that North Korea may not back down. They may go all or nothing, and as their human rights record has shown, they are willing to risk the lives of their own citizens as well as foreign citizens to achieve their goal.
I don’t think either side is going to back off now which makes the current situation even more dangerous. I don’t want to be a fearmonger, but I feel that the idea of war with North Korea has no happy ending. We need a recovery path, not a warpath.
