CCHS’ National FFA Organization is holding its annual Parent-Member Banquet on May 1 at 6 p.m. in the Miller Jordan Memorial Food Court.
Clarke Central High School’s National FFA Organization is hosting their 2026 Parent-Member Banquet on May 1 at 6 p.m. in the Miller Jordan Memorial Food Court to celebrate the FFA student’s accomplishments from the past year.
The banquet is student-facilitated, which means the FFA officers played a big role in the planning process and will be responsible for giving recognition for students who participated in Career Development Events (CDEs) and Leadership Development Events (LDEs) over the year and students who passed their agricultural classes’ End of Pathway Assessments.
“I expect (the banquet) to be a strong reflection of (the officers’) leadership. They’ve put in a lot of time preparing, and it’s always exciting to see them take ownership of the event,” CCHS Career, Technical and Agricultural Education department teacher and FFA co-adviser Anthony Brooks said.
In addition to dinner and awards, there will be an introduction of the 2026-27 FFA officers. There will also be chapter degree awards given, including the Green Hand Award for first-year students and the Chapter Degree for experienced students who have shown growth.
“(People) should attend the banquet because it’s good (for parents to) see (their) kids involved in something. Agriculture is the backbone of Georgia, so (the banquet is) really important because it brings more attention (to) FFA, ” FFA treasurer Tilly Evans, a sophomore, said.

Clarke Middle School Media Specialist Shawn Hinger will attend the event to support her daughter, FFA President Kate Hinger, a junior. Shawn, who has interacted with some of Kate’s peers since they were in middle school, is excited to attend the event for all students, including the ones she is unfamiliar with.
“I like to go (to the banquet) (to) celebrate all of the accomplishments that the kids have achieved this year in FFA, and (to) show respect for all the work that (Anthony Brooks and CCHS Career, Technical and Agricultural Education department teacher and FFA co-adviser Levi Carr-Brooks) have done with our students,” Shawn said.
