A video recaps the Clarke Central High School boys varsity soccer team’s game against South Effingham High School on April 22 in Billy Henderson Stadium. The game, which marked the first round of the 2026 Georgia High School Association State Championship, ended in an 8-1 Gladiator win, sending CCHS into the second round, which will take place against Gainesville High School on April 29, also in Billy Henderson Stadium. “My expectations are to compete for a state championship, that’s what I remind the boys all the time,” CCHS boys varsity soccer head coach Dr. Chris Aiken said. “We look forward to getting back to work next week, hopefully getting another win and advancing further.” Video by Cooper Jones
