Thirty-two Clarke County School District middle schoolers received medals at the Northeast Georgia Regional Science and Engineering Fair on Feb. 8.

A team of CCHS students will compete in the Innovation Challenge at the University of Georgia on Feb. 27, an event in which students will work together to answer a prompt related to science, technology, engineering or math.

CCHS senior Kevin Capcha was drawn to math at an early age because it allowed him to connect to his mother.

Within Clarke County schools, as in many schools across the U.S., there are disparities in classroom participation between girls and boys. These disparities require urgent solutions.
