CCHS Associate Principal Dr. Summer Smith recognized how the school functions as a whole with Reid’s support. “Her organization and attention to detail make a tremendous difference. Without her accuracy and follow through, the school’s academic systems, from transcripts to transfers, wouldn’t function as efficiently as they do now.,” Smith said. Photo by David Wang
CCHS registrar Armendy Reid supports students and families by ensuring that every student’s credits are accurate and transferable.
Clarke Central High School School Registrar Armendy Reid manages student records, transcripts, grades, withdrawals and enrollments from the school and dual enrollment data, ensuring that every student has the correct schedule and can graduate, work part-time or transfer when needed.
Reid, who has worked at CCHS since the 2018-19 school year, is responsible for maintaining accurate academic records for the school’s 1,938 students. Her job demands precision as the Infinite Campus system requires her to manually input each line of transcript data by hand at the end of every semester.
“You have to be patient with the process and with students. If you don’t have patience, don’t get into this job,” Reid said. “Since (the data inputting process) can be tedious,, I don’t like to be interrupted, because I want to make sure that everything in there is correct.”
“What really makes Ms. Reid effective is her communication. She helps families navigate the (registration) process with kindness and clarity, making sure no one feels lost in the system.”

CCHS Associate Principal
When students transfer to CCHS, Reid often receives calls from parents who want to learn more about the school’s safety and environment. After students are enrolled, if she encounters a credit she’s unsure about in the transcript, she reaches out directly to the registrar from the student’s previous school to verify.
“Trust and communication are the foundation of what I do. I have to communicate with students, parents, teachers, counselors, everybody in the school and outside the school,” Reid said. “We have students from everywhere, which means I have to connect with even out-of-state registrars. Every conversation, whether it’s a student, a parent or a teacher, can change how smoothly things go.”
CCHS Associate Principal Dr. Summer Smith, who oversees enrollment, withdrawals, student records and information systems, highlighted Reid’s effectiveness in her role.
“What really makes Ms. Reid effective is her communication. She helps families navigate the (registration) process with kindness and clarity, making sure no one feels lost in the system,” Smith said. “Especially for families coming into or leaving our school, those are big moments of transition, and she does an excellent job helping (them) understand what information they need and when.”
For Reid, providing quality customer service is essential to her job and is based on her own experiences as a parent.
“The reason I love my job is that I’m a people person. It gives me a chance to get on the phone and talk to new people,” Reid said. “I love talking to parents, because I have kids and I understand them if they have issues with students or the school.”
