The fast food chain’s 2025 Fall Menu was released on Aug. 18, offering a mediocre sandwich that falls short of expectations. “At first bite, the bun is the most noticeable element, as its appearance raises expectations of a chewy pretzel flavor, yet the taste leans more towards a dense regular bun. Still, it’s enjoyable despite missing the authentic pretzel experience,” Sports Staffer Kye Streetman wrote. Photo fair use of Chick-fil-A
Chick-fil-A released its annual Fall Menu on Aug. 18, featuring two new items: the Pretzel Cheddar Club Sandwich and the Cherry Berry Sprite.
American fast-food chain Chick-fil-A released its Fall Menu on Aug. 18, which included the Pretzel Cheddar Club Sandwich and the Cherry Berry Sprite. The new items are both a respectable addition to the menu, yet unlikely to become staples.
The chicken sandwich is served on a pretzel bun with bacon, lettuce, tomato and American cheese. It comes in three variations: the classic filet priced at $7.59, the spicy filet, with a 30-cent upcharge, and the grilled filet, with a 96-cent upcharge, which is mildly expensive for a mid-sized sandwich. The one-size Sprite is priced at $2.95, which is fair for the large serving.
Chick-fil-A’s Pretzel Cheddar Club Sandwich is satisfactory for a quick meal, but it doesn’t rise above the chain’s other staples.
At first glance, the sandwich’s presentation is slightly underwhelming, falling short in presentation. It also arrives with a packet of creamy Dijon mustard on the side, which helps redeem it.
Initially, the bun promises more than it delivers, as its appearance raises expectations of a chewy pretzel, yet the taste and texture leans more towards a dense, regular Chick-fil-a bun. Still, it’s enjoyable despite missing the authentic soft pretzel experience.
Fortunately, the creamy Dijon mustard nicely complements the other ingredients. Its tangy flavor blends well with the freshness of the lettuce and tomato. The chicken filet somewhat overpowers the other flavors, but remains high-quality and well-cooked, living up to Chick-Fil-A’s standards.
On the other hand, the Cherry Berry Sprite fails to meet expectations. Following the success of last spring’s Cherry Berry Lemonade, this version is noticeably watered-down. The cherry flavor is faint, the classic Sprite taste is lackluster and the carbonation is a bit overwhelming. However, it’s refreshing paired with the Pretzel Cheddar Club Sandwich.
Overall, Chick-fil-A’s Pretzel Cheddar Club Sandwich is satisfactory for a quick meal, but it doesn’t rise above the chain’s other staples. The Cherry Berry Sprite, meanwhile, disappoints in both flavor and balance. While both items are worth trying, Chick-Fil-A’s classic menu options remain the stronger choice.
