Clarke Central High School Sophomore Sa Blue sits in the foreign language hallway on Feb. 1. Blue lived in a refugee camp in Thailand until she immigrated to America when she was five. “(Going through that experience) made me become a better person. I know how to appreciate the things I have. I see people who have better homes than me, but I don’t care,” Blue said. “This is a lot compared to what my grandma and grandpa have who are still living in the war. Krista Shumaker is a senior at Clarke Central High School and is the broadcast editor for the ODYSSEY Media Group. Shumaker has attended conferences such as the Georgia Scholastic Press Association and the Southern Interscholastic Press Association. Shumaker enjoys photography, videography and hopes to continue expanding her journalistic knowledge.
