The CCHS varsity football team walked away from the 57th Classic City Championship with a 28-7 win over Cedar Shoals High School on Aug. 19.

The Clarke Central High School varsity football team will face off against Cedar Shoals High School in the 57th Classic City Championship at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 19 at CSHS’ Waters-Wilkins Stadium.

The CCHS varsity football team defeated Cedar Shoals High School by a score of 40-0 in the 56th Classic City Championship on Aug. 18 in Billy Henderson Stadium.

Following a winless Region 8-AAAAA season, the Gladiators will look to rebound in their first softball game of the season vs. Cedar Shoals High School at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 4th.

The Clarke Central High School varsity wrestling team competed in the Classic City Championship in its Competition Gym against Cedar Shoals High School on Dec. 7. The Gladiators defeated the Jaguars but fell to the Oconee Warriors.

The Clarke Central High School varsity football team won the first game of the season 10-3 against their cross-town rival, the Cedar Shoal High School Jaguars, on Sept. 5.

The East and West sides of Athens came together at Clarke Central High School on Jan. 5 for a basketball extravaganza.

Clarke Central High School faced off against Cedar Shoals High School in their annual rivalry basketball game on Dec. 16 at CCHS.
