Author and retired Chattahoochee Riverkeeper Sally Bethea will be visiting the Athens Public Library on Sept. 5 to share her journey as a conservationist as well as one of the first female Riverkeepers in the United States.

Variety staffer Isabella Westrich talks with award-winning cartoonist and illustrator Eleanor Davis, an Athens native who currently lives in Arizona, to discuss her accomplishments, inspiration and the meaning of her art.

Author Michael Ondaatje will speak in the Clarke Central High School media center on Oct. 25, and participate in a discussion hosted by the iliad Literary-Art Magazine.
