CCHS’ annual Black History Month Presentation is held on Feb. 25 during Advisement in E.B. Mell Auditorium. The event centered on the theme “You Belong Here,” and featured reflections on Black history, culture and local impact. “There’s a lot that African Americans have done in the past to get us where we are, especially a lot of history around this school, itself,” CCHS Principal’s Secretary LaToya Hill said. “It’s always good to think about those contributions and put them forth, because sometimes a lot of people don’t know the history that is in this building.” Photos by Kye Streetman, Maypop Wren and Valeria Blanco Pirela
