A slideshow lists five facts about the Clarke County School District’s Transportation Bus Replacement Schedule. The replacement goals were presented at the Feb. 12 CCSD Board of Education meeting by CCSD Sustainability Coordinator Randy Priest and aim to prepare the district to retire its older buses and purchase electric or propane buses. “(CCSD’s) not purchasing any more diesel buses,” Priest said. “We might buy some gas buses for longer field trips, but the plan for the future is (having) propane (buses) as (the) majority of (CCSD’s bus transportation) fleet, and then about 10 (EV) buses.” Photo and graphics by Emlyn McKinney
