Clarke Central High School varsity athletes with a GPA of 3.8 or higher during the 2024-25 school year were recognized at the Scholar-Athlete Recognition Ceremony in CCHS’ Billy Henderson Strength & Conditioning Center on Oct. 22. All recognized students received a custom Scholar-Athlete letter jacket patch and a certificate of accomplishment. “It felt really good to be recognized for working hard both in school and in sports,” CCHS varsity track and field runner Claire Bruner, a senior, said. “I think (events like these are) important because it shows that being a student-athletes means more than just what you do on the field or court.” Photos by Iliana Tejada, story by Edie Ash
