On April 2, Dunkin’ released the Cotton Candy Specialty Donut as a part of their annual Spring Menu. The donut is a fun treat for the new season with a strong flavor combination.
Dunkin’ released its 2025 Spring Menu on April 2 featuring the new Cotton Candy Speciality Donut priced at $2.19. For the most part, this new addition delivers with its strong cotton candy flavoring, but is lacking in other areas.
At first glance, the donut doesn’t quite match the promotional images. What seems to be vibrant pink icing is more muted and less exciting than advertised. However, the bright blue sprinkles are on-point, adding a fun, colorful crunch to the treat.
Although the look of the pink icing is lacking, its strawberry flavor is a strong highlight. Instead of being overpowering, it pairs nicely with the cotton candy theme and ties the treat together.
Dunkin’s Cotton Candy Specialty Donut is a fun, nostalgic treat that mostly hits the mark.
The real star, though, is the filling. Despite being concentrated in the center of the donut, once found, it exceeds expectations. The buttercream has a light and fluffy consistency and the cotton candy flavoring is impressively accurate. It’s sweet, but not overwhelming and has a non-artificial cotton candy flavor, making it the best part of the dessert.
Still, the distribution of the filling can be a letdown. A few bites may come up dry while others are bursting with the soft, sugary center. More balance here would have taken this donut to the next level.
Overall, Dunkin’s Cotton Candy Specialty Donut is a fun, nostalgic treat that mostly hits the mark. While it isn’t as eye-catching as advertised and could benefit from more evenly spread filling, its fluffy texture, bold cotton candy flavor and nice crunch from the sprinkles make this treat worth a try.

Dunkin’s spring menu was released on April 2, and the energy beverage included in it provides a cherry-flavored burst of energy for consumers. “With 144 milligrams of caffeine sourced from guarana, the beverage provides a stimulating feeling for consumers, allowing them to do their daily activities more efficiently,” Sports Staffer Kevin Capcha wrote. Dunkin’s Arctic Cherry Dunkin’ Energy
Dunkin’s Arctic Cherry Dunkin’ Energy beverage is shown. The restaurant released its 2025 Spring Menu on April 2 with an Arctic Cherry Dunkin’ Energy beverage that subceeds the advertised expectations of a cherry-flavored energy drink with hints of blueberry and passion fruit. “Although the beverage contains traces of grapefruit, providing a much-needed natural flavor, the absence of advertised blueberry notes leads to a lackluster flavor profile,” Sports Staffer Kevin Capcha wrote. Dunkin’s 2025 Spring Menu, released on April 2 includes the new Arctic Cherry Dunkin’ Energy beverage that does not meet advertised expectations.
Dunkin’ released its Spring Menu on April 2, featuring an Arctic Cherry Dunkin’ Energy beverage – containing “cherry notes with flavors of blueberry and grapefruit” – starting at $3.69 for the smallest size.
Although the drink offers a refreshing boost of energy, it presents itself with an inconsistent flavor from what the company advertised.
Promotional images showcase a clear, carbonated drink similar to sparkling water; however, the actual appearance disappoints with a distinct white ombre gradient, leading to a cloudy look and subsequently masking the carbonation.
Upon taking the first sip, consumers will come to understand why the beverage has a stark visual contrast: a high concentration of cherry syrup at the bottom creates an overwhelming, sour sweetness to the beverage. Due to the bombardment of syrup, the beverage’s flavor comes off as artificial rather than refreshing.
To combat the flavor contrast, consumers may need to stir the drink themselves, even then, the flavor only improves slightly.
Unfortunately, stirring reveals further flaws in the drink. While the beverage contains traces of grapefruit, providing a much-needed natural flavor, the absence of advertised blueberry notes leads to a lackluster flavor profile.
Although the drink offers a refreshing boost of energy, it presents itself with an inconsistent flavor from what the company advertised.
Despite the beverage’s shortcomings, Dunkin’ delivered on the drink’s promise to provide “a revitalizing burst of energy.” With 144 milligrams of caffeine – similar to a 16-ounce Red Bull energy drink – sourced from the guarana plant, the Arctic Cherry drink provides an invigorating feeling for consumers, potentially enhancing alertness and focus.
Overall, the Arctic Cherry Dunkin’ Energy drink falls short of Dunkin’s standard of providing a natural, refreshing spring taste for consumers, but meets its purpose in Dunkin’s increasing non-coffee energy lineup.
Advertised as a “flavorful choice,” the beverage ultimately disappoints. With an artificial taste, it’s unlikely to satisfy customers.
