Clarke Central High School seniors’ graduation rehearsal will be held on May 23 and the ceremony on May 24, both in Billy Henderson Stadium.
On May 17, Clarke Central High School Family Engagement Specialist Christian Barner sent out an email sharing details about the CCHS’ graduation rehearsal and ceremony. It included information about parking, handicap access for those with disabilities and attire expectations for seniors.
On-campus parking for the ceremony will be available in the Baxter Street parking lot and cafeteria parking lot. Spaces will also be available at the Chi Omega (324 S. Milledge Ave.) and Kappa Alpha Theta (338 S. Milledge Ave.) houses. Barner also outlined plans to accommodate off-campus parking.
“Shuttles will be available from the HT Edwards campus (440 Dearing Ext.) starting at 7:30 (a.m.). Passengers will be dropped off at S. Rocksprings and Waddell Street,” Barner stated in the email. “Shuttles will run until 11:30 (a.m. and) be wheelchair accessible.”
Along with shuttles, accommodations have been made for guests with disabilities or have mobility concerns.
“Guests can take the walkway to the top of the (Billy Henderson Stadium home side) stands,” Barner stated in the email. “A golf cart will be available (in the Baxter Street parking lot) to transport guests with mobility issues. Seating for individuals in wheelchairs is available at the top of the (home side) stands.”
Additionally, Barner’s message reviews requirements for those in attendance, including the CCHS clear bag policy and graduating seniors’ attire.
