Cyclists compete in the Athens Orthopedic Clinic Women’s Pro-Am Criterium at the Athens Twilight Criterium held downtown at 7 p.m. on April 22. L39ION of Los Angeles cyclist Alexis Ryan ended up winning the race after pulling clear of the field in the final stretch. “I was pretty nervous coming into the race because I was completely by myself,” Ryan said. “(I told myself) ‘I’m going to go and give it all I got,’ and I did.” Photos and story by Wyatt Meyer

The Athens Orthopedic Clinic Men and Women’s Pro-Am Criterium closed out the annual Athens Twilight Criterium, with cyclist Alexis Ryan winning the women’s race and cyclist Bryan Gomez repeating as champion for the men.
