To the ODYSSEY Media Group readership and community,
The past couple of months have been challenging for us as a nation, a state and a community. Hundreds of thousands of people have died from the coronavirus worldwide, and many more healthcare workers have put their lives on the line fighting this virus. The ODYSSEY Media Group staff gives our sincerest condolences to those who have suffered or lost loved ones during this pandemic.
This virus has also thrown a wrench in our plans to produce our final magazine of the year. Publishing this magazine is something that matters deeply to us, but given the restrictions imposed by the pandemic and the importance of social distancing, we were unable to create the newsmagazine we were planning on.
Despite the limitations, we have had a staff of 30 dedicated writers, editors and illustrators working to create the 2019-20 issue 4 in an entirely digital format. This has meant countless hours interviewing stakeholders over the phone, creating engaging multimedia elements and FaceTiming staff members to provide feedback.
This new way of working has challenged us and allowed us to grow as an organization. Although this issue 4 is not what we had planned to release, it contains much of the same content that readers would have received in a physical magazine. This content will be published online in the coming days and can be found under the new issue 4 tab.
We thank you, our readers, for your understanding and ongoing support as we explore new ways of informing, entertaining and connecting with our readership. As we all continue to navigate this uncharted territory of a global pandemic, we ask that you continue to protect one another by social distancing and practicing proper health protocols, as well as working to stay connected digitally. We hope that the ODYSSEY Media Group may be one source of that connection.
Sincerely,
The ODYSSEY Media Group staff
