The Season Three premiere of The CW Television Network teen-drama “Riverdale” was aired on Oct. 10.
The CW Television Network unveiled the Season Three premiere of its hit teen-drama “Riverdale” on Oct. 10. The series is based on the “Archie Comics” and primarily follows a group of four teenagers: Betty Cooper (Lilli Reinhart), Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes), Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) and Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) through their dark and twisted journey in high school. Each actor puts their own unique twist on the beloved characters of the “Archie Comics”, making the series the perfect show for high schoolers and fans of “Archie Comics” to binge watch.
Season Two ends with Andrews being arrested for murder directly after winning the election for student body president. This nail-biting cliffhanger left viewers with more questions than answers, and Season Three picks up right where season two left off — packed with drama.
The premiere of Season Three, titled “Labor Day”, exceeds the bar of excellence set by previous seasons while still having the aspects that “Riverdale” fans have learned to love: beautiful cinematography and coloring complemented by a fantastic soundtrack.
The Season Three premiere is a prime example of why so many viewers tune in to watch this series every Wednesday. Unlike other teen dramas, “Riverdale” focuses more on cinematography than cramming as many plot twists as possible into the season.
With only five episodes released so far, “Riverdale” has kept its viewers guessing, but its fast-paced storylines make it hard for the viewer to understand where they are supposed to direct their focus. Despite this, each episode is more suspenseful and exciting than the last, and “Riverdale” has set the tone for a new generation of teen dramas.
Viewers can watch Season One and Two on Netflix and keep up with the latest Season Three episodes on The CW website for free every Wednesday.
