On Sept. 15, the Clarke Central High School varsity football team will face off against North Oconee High School’s varsity football team. Kick off is at 7:30 pm at Billy Henderson Stadium.
0 – The number of wins North Oconee High School has obtained in the 2016 varsity football season so far. Whereas, the Clarke Central High School varsity football team has won one of three games this season.
1 – The number of times CCHS has played NOHS in football since 2004. They last played each other in a scrimmage in 2013, and CCHS won by a score of 31-7.
2 – The amount of tackles CCHS junior and center Nicholas Sligh has got past him this season so far.
3 – The number of stars CCHS senior and safety Zay Brown has according to 247Sports. Brown has a hard commit with the University of South Carolina.
4 – The rank of CCHS in the GITV Class AAAAA Rankings out of seven teams. CCHS, Flowery Branch High School and Walnut Grove High School have a record of 1-2, leaving them tied for fourth place.
6 – The rank of NOHS in the Class AAAA Rankings out of six teams according to MaxPreps. NOHS has a three game losing streak and a record of 0-3 placing them at the lowest ranking.
9.3 – The average amount of points scored by NOHS in the 2016 varsity football season so far.
18.7 – The average amount of points scored by CCHS in the 2016 varsity football season so far.
49 – The number of yards junior and starting kicker William Downs’ field goal was in CCHS’ season opener against Winder-Barrow High School on Aug. 18.
256 – The number of yards CCHS sophomore and running back Jonathan Sewell has rushed this season so far.
