The Walking Dead season six will return to AMC with high expectations.
AMC’s intense, action-packed series, The Walking Dead, is returning on Oct. 11 at 9 p.m for its sixth season and is a must see.
The 90 minute premiere will be followed by a commentary on the The Walking Dead called The Talking Dead.
The series features a group of survivors after a zombie apocalypse and their struggles to live. As the show has progressed, it became more about conflicts between other survival groups, opposed to just the zombies. Obviously zombies are still all over the place, but now they are less prevalent to the plot.
Viewers favorite character Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), is an expert at hunting, navigating, tracking and pretty much anything survival related. Reedus is one of the highlights in the show because of his introverted personality.
However, what makes The Walking Dead a must see is the unpredictability brought by the setting in an apocalyptic world. The fear of an outbreak being just one step away makes the show suspenseful and the producers do a great job illustrating its ability to affect the futuristic world.
Although the show is known for its gory scenes and “horror” aspect, it is presented is a fashion that makes the show still appealing, even to people who are not gore fans. The zombie-filled parts of the show are balanced by humanity. Most of the “protagonistic” characters have a sense of mortality and seem to have each others back no matter the circumstances.
As the premiere approaches, The Walking Dead is an absolute must see with plenty of violent, gory scenes and relationships that are produced to perfection.
