Travis Porter has consistently produced the best rap dance music in the business, and does not fail to live up to that standard with their newest product, 3 Live Krew.
Atlanta-based rap trio Travis Porter has solidified their position as the modern iteration of the famous Miami rap group 2 Live Crew with their newest mixtape, 3 Live Krew. An obvious homage to 2 Live’s As Nasty As They Wanna Be, in both cover art and musical style.
Another similarity to 2 Live Crew is Travis Porter’s hyper sexual lyrics. Despite 3 Live Krew’s explicit content, the album still delivers solid beats and tracks.
For the last six years, Travis Porter has defined a generation of dance music with iconic songs such as “Make It Rain”, “Bring It Back”, and the entirety of the Music, Money Magnums mixtape. 3 Live Krew is no exception, with songs as ReYup, Walked In and Round N Round destined to be hits.
In a sense, this is a reminder from Travis Porter that they still know what they are doing, and that nothing is going to change for some time. 3 Live Krew may not be the album that your grandmother listens to, but it’s perfect for all social events.
