The halls of Clarke Central High School have experienced another form of decoration this year. Teachers have photos of themselves scotch-taped to the walls outside of their respective classrooms with an adjective that describes them.

While it has been entertaining to see what words teachers use to describe themselves, the purpose of their photos has many students confused, myself included.
Half of the pictures I have seen use the word “caring” for the caption, which is ironic because the teachers do not have very “caring” expressions on their faces in their photos.
CCHS Principal Dr. Robbie P. Hooker said he would describe himself as a “risk-taker” if he had to choose one word to define him.
I think it’s impossible to describe anyone with only one word, so I don’t think these photos give a realistic portrayal of who these teachers are.
If I had to use one word to describe how this decoration in our school makes me feel, it would be confused.
